Bruce Wright has been performing steadily
since his return to the operatic stage in 2006. Roles with Center Stage Opera
include Capulet in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, Dulcamara
in L'elisir d'amore, and the title role in Rigoletto. Bruce
has also performed as the Father in Hansel and Gretel, the Treasurer
in Verdi’s early comedy Un giorno di regno, both Melchior and
Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Dr. Grenvil in La
Traviata. In January 2008 he debuted the role of the Engineer in the
world premiere of Paul Salerni’s and Dana Gioia’s opera, Tony
Caruso’s Final Broadcast.
